One student, Brinda Dixit, reports that she studied voice with Galina for close to five years and describes her voice as having been weak, airy, and unsupported before working with Galina. Brinda states that Galina’s careful, personal attention helped her voice blossom and mature and that training with Galina created her into an artist, not just a voice student. Brinda describes each class as a lesson on life, art, and music, and says that Galina cares for each student, has a vast, deep, and finessed knowledge of music and the voice, and is passionate about giving music to all. Brinda states that it was directly because of Galina that she was accepted to study Drama at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, and that she now lives in New York City working as a professional actress while still using exercises from her lessons. Another student, Jennifer O’Donnell from Dublin, reports that she had wanted to learn piano for years and that Galina helped her go from knowing nothing to playing classics like Bach. Guitar student Kevin Vasko from Livermore reports that he honed his guitar skills at Galina’s and made his love of music into a professional career. Krista Trill from Pleasanton reports that all the instructors have been professional, friendly, and incredibly patient, and that she now has fun playing the piano and enjoys playing for other people.
