Child Lane Early Care and Education Program offers early care and education, nutrition, and family support services for children. Founded in 1984, Child Lane provides Early Care and Education, Nutrition, and Family Support Services to the Long Beach and Harbor communities. The program serves nearly 6,000 children a day through its Early Care and Education Program and Nutrition Program. It serves children from zero months to thirteen years of age in licensed centers and family child care homes within the Long Beach, Wilmington, San Pedro, and Gardena communities. Child Lane partners with 525 licensed family child care providers to ensure children are given healthy and fresh USDA approved meals throughout the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas. As part of its Family Support Services, the program offers professional assistance, enhanced referrals to community services, confidential guidance, and parenting education. The mission of Child Lane is to provide care in an environment where play is valued and children are supported to be their full potential.
