For over 22 years, Beach Volleyball Camps has been held at the same beach, and for over a decade it has been a place where players of all levels come to learn, grow, and enjoy the game. The camps are founded by Sinjin Smith, a legendary beach volleyball player who is a World Champion many times over, an Olympian, and a Hall of Famer who helped start the World Tour and was instrumental in getting the sport into the Olympic Games. Camps are led by a team of coaches that includes Sinjin Smith as site director, along with Long Beach coaches Bryan Dukes and Livi Narancich, and a current collegiate athlete from Long Beach State University. Sinjin Smith makes guest appearances throughout the summer, and campers have the opportunity to meet him, hear stories from his career, and see live tournaments each week at a location that is a key stop on the CBVA tournament schedule.

At every camp, athletes build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong memories in a safe, fun environment led by this coaching staff. Players receive personalized coaching that covers serving, passing, hitting, and blocking, and Sinjin Smith’s coaching style is described as supportive and encouraging. Some camps offer afternoon extensions that include additional beach games, boogie boarding, or surf lessons. Families are asked to send campers with a water bottle, sunglasses, snacks, a beach towel, and sunscreen.
