Scratch DJ Academy - Kids & Teen Programs

Scratch DJ Academy - Kids & Teen Programs offers DJ classes, DJ Summer Camp, and 5-day DJ 101 summer camps. The program includes in person lessons, live online lessons, and other online lessons. Kids and teens can join an after school program, group courses, private sessions, and 1-on-1 private lessons.

Scratch DJ Academy was founded in 2002 and was co-founded by Jam Master Jay of Run DMC. For 25 years, Scratch DJ Academy has been a leader in DJ education and has taught over 500,000 aspiring DJs and music makers worldwide. The program offers access to a veteran Scratch DJ and includes 8 course levels to becoming a professional DJ. Private sessions are described as the quickest way to increase skill level, and each lesson is tailored with a unique lesson plan that works with the student’s schedule and interests. Kids and teens can take live private online sessions, learn from home, and use vinyl or any DJ controller. The 5-day DJ 101 summer camps are presented as a way to “unleash your child's inner rock star,” and the program is described as both approachable and serious about learning the right way.
