Before founding the academy, he worked as a Creative Director at Vidal Sassoon and left that industry in 2007 to devote himself entirely to Jiu Jitsu in Brazil. His teaching style is described as “almost scientific,” rooted in clarity and precision, with geometry serving as the foundation of his instruction.
Meraki Jiu Jitsu serves professionals and families from Santa Monica and nearby areas and is described as a meeting point for a carefully selected community in those areas. Student feedback describes Meraki Jiu Jitsu as a great BJJ gym with great coaches and friendly members, one of the nicest gyms students have trained at with skilled instructors and practitioners, and an amazing place to train where the facilities and instructors are both described positively.
