Love in Music Free Youth Music Education Program offers free music education that includes weekly Saturday music lessons during the school year. Children take classes on classical instruments such as trumpet, flute, violin, piano, cello, and guitar, and participate in concerts including a winter concert and an annual concert. The program provides free classical instruments for use in these lessons and performances.

Founded in May 2007, Love in Music is a California non-profit 501(c)(3) charity organization that has reached over 1,000 underserved children from diverse communities, including primarily Hispanic, African American, and Asian backgrounds. Its mission is to foster harmony, inclusiveness, and cultural understanding through free music education for underserved children aged 7–12 by connecting them with musically trained volunteers. Programs are volunteer-driven, with high school, college, and professional volunteers providing over 5,000 volunteer hours annually, and approximately 90% of volunteers are high school students. The organization operates three branches in Los Angeles County and Orange County and partners with local schools, community organizations, and volunteers.
The program hosts a Winter Concert at each branch and an Annual Concert across the three branches, with student performances, cultural heritage sharing, and special appearances by professional musicians or teaching volunteers; the Winter Concert also includes a year-end potluck party hosted by parents, and the Annual Concert includes a communal lunch. Love in Music aims to maintain and replace 20–30 classical instruments so that students have access to instruments for lessons and concerts, and it accepts donations of pre-owned classical instruments in proper condition that can be used in class without repairs.
The leadership team includes Kwan Il Park (President & Co-Founder and President/CEO), Gloria Lee (Executive Director), and Dr. Gene H. Moon, DMA, who has served as Music Director since September 2025 and is Director of Orchestral Studies and Associate Dean of Performance and Outreach at the Collinsworth School of Performing Arts at California Baptist University. Love in Music is authorized to offer the President’s Volunteer Service Award (temporarily pending nationwide) and also gives Community Leader Service Awards annually to volunteers, with the Community Leader Award requiring an attendance rate of 85% or higher. Volunteers receive 3 community service hours per week during the school year (2 hours of teaching and 1 hour of preparation), commit at least 2 hours per week on Saturdays during each school semester, and all new volunteers must submit a four-paragraph essay after watching past volunteer training session links as part of the formal registration process.
