Children’s Music Workshop

Children’s Music Workshop offers Beginning Band, Beginning Orchestra, Chorus, Recorder, Ukulele, Piano/Keyboard, General Music, and Customized Programs for elementary schools. Its programs can be designed for one grade, several grades, or the entire school community, and they can be scheduled before school, during the school day, after school, as short-term residencies, or as full-year programs.

About the provider

Children’s Music Workshop is led by Larry Newman, Founder & Director. The program has more than 40 years of music education experience and has served Los Angeles schools since 1994. Its credentials include LAUSD Approved Vendor status, full insurance per LAUSD requirements, five Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, recognition at Los Angeles City Hall, membership and clinician status with the California Music Educators Association, and founding the LA All Schools Elementary Honor Orchestra. It includes music education in the classroom, on the concert stage, and throughout the community, and its past and present school partners include public, charter, independent, and faith-based school communities.
