About
California Rhythms LA Premier Rhythmic Gymnastics Club offers Rhythmic Gymnastics classes that include basic body movements, stretching techniques, and apparatus handling. Participants work with balls, ribbons, hoops, scarves, and ropes, and may progress to more strenuous workouts and rigorous instruction in Rhythmic Gymnastics. The program includes three levels of instruction: Pre-school, Recreational, and Competitive, with activities adjusted to each level.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
The Pre-school program is for girls ages 4–5 and is an introduction to Rhythmic Gymnastics. In this class, girls learn basic body movements, stretching techniques, and basic apparatus handling using balls, ribbons, hoops, and scarves. The Pre-school class is designed to develop coordination, flexibility, and balance in a playful setting, and Pre-school girls participate in an Annual Holiday Show in December to demonstrate skills they have learned.
The Recreational program is open to girls ages 6 and up and is for the beginner athlete or for girls who may not be interested in a competitive environment. Recreational instruction includes basic techniques of Rhythmic Gymnastics, combining stretching, body conditioning, creative movement, and dance, while learning basic apparatus skills including hoops, balls, ribbons, and ropes. Recreational gymnasts participate in an Annual Holiday Show in December to showcase the skills they have learned in a non-competitive and fun environment.
The Competitive program is open to girls ages 6 and up and is geared towards athletes looking to progress and excel in the sport through a competitive environment. This program is for Level 4 (beginner level) gymnasts through Level 10 Elite (US National team caliber) gymnasts. The Competitive program includes a minimum required number of training hours per week at each level and participation in a Summer Training Program. The Competitive team participates in local, regional, and national competitions, and Level 10 Elite gymnasts participate in competitions around the world. Free trial classes are offered.
California Rhythms LA Premier Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is the home of US National Team Members.
