Dr Owl Academy Robotics & 3D Print Summer Camps offers small classes with fewer than 10 students and a student-teacher ratio of 6:1. The program uses project-based learning grouped by skill level and provides hands-on STEM experience focused on coding skills, teamwork, and creative problem-solving abilities. Camp options include LEGO Robotics Camp, 3D Print Camp, FTC Prep Robotics Camp, and FTC Competitive Robotics Summer Camp. The LEGO Robotics Camp is suitable for students in rising grades 3–8, the 3D Printing, Coding Camp is suitable for students in rising grades 4–8, and the FTC Prep Robotics Camp is suitable for students in rising grades 6–8, with a material fee not included. The FTC Competitive Robotics Summer Camp is for middle and high school students, involves students working in small teams on real engineering challenges, and is for students already placed on a team and assigned a time slot with Coach Shannon. The LEGO Robotics program prepares students ages 8–14 for FIRST LEGO League Challenge competitions, and students in grades 7 and above gain skills and experience by competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge. During the school year, families can continue learning through LEGO robotics programs guided by experienced robotics instructors.

The program is led by experienced mentors and includes leadership from Coach Shannon. Its stated mission is that the program goes beyond robotics and builds leadership, teamwork, resilience, and creativity through hands-on challenges, with an approach inspired by design thinking and guided by Core Values that emphasize inclusivity, perseverance, and integrity. The program welcomes students from Los Gatos, Cupertino, San Jose, Saratoga, Sunnyvale, and surrounding Bay Area communities. Students are asked to bring a water bottle, lunch, and snacks each day, and equipment requirements may vary depending on the camp session.
