Valley Sports Camp is in its 18th year of summer camps and offers programs for grades Pre-K through 8th grade. The camp is led by Mark, Jeff, and Kim Mercer and is run by a team of teachers who have all played on high level sports teams and have a strong passion for teaching life skills through sports. The multi-sport summer camp is described as an active, high-energy program for boys and girls ages 4–12 years old, and kids are grouped by grade level to play developmentally appropriate games and sports. Campers typically play 4–6 sports and enrichment activities each day, and After Camp Care includes a snack and additional organized games and activities.

The daily schedule includes all-camp announcements, multiple activity blocks, snack and water breaks, lunch, supervised lunch activities, and an end-of-day awards and announcements time that includes Camper of the Day. Valley Sports Camp includes a character building program that emphasizes a different character trait each day, with kids discussing and practicing “Words of the Day” with peers and a coach, and coaches emphasizing fun, teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. Strategic team building activities are used to help campers develop relationships, build a sense of belonging, and create an environment where kids feel safe, and the camp states that it is great for all levels of athleticism.

The mission of Valley Sports Camp is for every camper to leave camp with more confidence and a love of sports, to create an environment where kids will love learning and playing new games and sports, to encourage them to lead active, physically fit lives, and to build their self-esteem through athletics so that all kids feel successful at the end of the day. Valley Sports Camp serves families from Campbell, Cupertino, Los Gatos, Morgan Hill, Saratoga, San Jose, San Lorenzo Valley, Scotts Valley, and nearby communities in San Lorenzo Valley, Santa Cruz County, and the greater Bay Area. The program notes that it has 5-star reviews on Google.

Parent testimonials describe Valley Sports Camp as a place where kids “loved this camp,” where siblings with different interests could all enjoy the same program, and where children were eager to arrive early each day. Parents report that their children “had a blast,” asked to switch from part-day to full day, and that the camp is “BY FAR one of his favorite camps every year.” Other parents highlight that their kids “get a great work out without even knowing it,” that games are always fun, that staff and coaches are energetic and “great with the kids,” and that the camp includes character education focused on sportsmanship, teamwork, friendship, and well-trained coaches who enjoy being with children.
