Youth Science Institute Programs include hands-on science adventures that feature live animals, outdoor exploration, and outdoor learning experiences. The programs offer hands-on science and environmental education through hands-on field trips, engaging events, workshops, and family activities. Youth Science Institute Programs also include Summer Science Camp, School & Group Programs, and Community Programs that focus on hands-on, nature-based science education.
The Youth Science Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to igniting a love of learning and enthusiasm for science. It is an environmental based science education nonprofit that has been a leader in hands-on, nature-based science education throughout the Bay Area since 1953. For over 70 years, it has provided hands-on, nature-based science education and now serves schools and families across the Bay Area, including Title 1 schools, with thousands of students inspired annually. The organization describes its approach as “Partnering with Nature to Teach Kids Science” and “Changing lives through connecting students to science through nature,” and offers community programs that include engaging events, workshops, and family activities that connect people with science and nature.
