• Ages: 2–6 years old
• Schedule: Drop-in days, individual weeks, 3-day toddler programs, and 4-, 6-, or 8-week options with full- and half-day programs; day care available on an “as needed” basis
The Ross Academy Schools were established in Ross in 1966, and the Mill Valley school opened in 1971. Many staff members have been with Ross Academy for years, and all classes are taught by teachers holding Montessori certificates. The main objective of Ross Academy Montessori School is to provide a carefully planned, stimulating environment which will help children develop within themselves the foundational habits, attitudes, skills and ideas which are essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning. The program has been designed especially for children’s growing needs, and Ross Academy states that its personal goal is to “educate the human potential” through positive and stimulating experiences. There is community involvement through repeat visits by the Safety Officer from the local Police Department and The Southern Marin Firefighters.
