Ladies Shred: Surf, Skate, Create Camp

Ladies Shred: Surf, Skate, Create Camp, founded by Lil, offers skateboarding, surfing, and art. Participants engage in board safety training, body and spacial awareness, emotional regulation practices, commitment, focus, fear barrier breaking, teamwork, and responsibility for their gear. It is not necessary to know how to skate or surf, Lil teaches practical skills with patience and repetition. For those who already have experience within the sports, they will have plenty of assistance and supervision to grow their skill.

- CIT: 14-17 (half price)
Ladies Shred Summer Camps are 5-day sessions alternating between surfing and skateboarding, ending the week with an art day to review the week and the skills learned. Mondays and Wednesdays are for skateboarding, Tuesdays and Thursdays are for surfing, Fridays are for art!
Camp days are 9:00am-3:00pm.
We meet at the Mill Valley Middle School in the back lot everyday.
Skate days we will go to Hamilton Skate park (Novato), Bolinas skate park, and practice long distance skating on the bike path or around the MVMS school.
Surf sessions are held at Calle De Embarcadero in Stinson Beach. We do not go to Bolinas unless discussed prior with smaller groups as there are plenty of surf camps out there already.
Students leave the camp with a firm understanding of how to keep their bodies safe and new skills to keep them learning on their own!
Each day we practice caring for ourselves through stretching and slow movement practice in the beginning of each session. We discuss breathing through fear and communicating our fears.
Ladies Shred was created as a safe learning space for girls. It is a space where girls can be themselves and talk candidly about their experience.
Lil has been an instructor since 2013, her love of the sports shines through with patience and humor. She is registered as a National EMT, lifeguard certified, trauma informed surf coach, and currently studying psychology at College of Marin.

Policies
By signing up with Ladies Shred you agree to the following policies:
- Classes - No refunds only credit for any Ladies Shred offerings.
- Camps - A 50% refund or credit within 14 days of cancelation will be allowed for all summer camps and school break camps through Ladies Shred. No refunds, but credit for another session of camp within 7 days.
- Last minute cancelations on either Ladies Shred or participant are approved for rescheduling ONLY.
- Ladies Shred reserves the right to cancel for ANY reason.
- Refunds of deposits will not be given for COVID, weather, illness or injury of any kind.
- Partial refunds may be available for the following: if Ladies Shred must cancel due to Covid-19 / severe illness or injury and/or weather.
- Ladies Shred is not responsible for rescheduling, clients must keep track of any credits given. Ladies Shred will keep record but is not responsible in any way of making sure the credit is used.
- The cost of the camp is not broken down by day.
- In the event that a day of camp has to be canceled for ANY reason, a credit for ONE day of camp will be given.
- Ladies Shred reserves the right to refuse services to anyone.
