NVYS Summer Chamber Camps

NVYS Summer Chamber Camps offers a Summer Chamber Camp for Strings that includes a Half-Day Camp for advanced beginner strings musicians seeking an introduction to chamber music and a Full-Day Camp for advanced string musicians. The program includes a Saturday Dress Rehearsal & Performance, with a performance at the Jarvis Conservatory. NVYS Summer Chamber Camps runs as a one-week program.

• Ages: 10–18 years old
• Schedule: One-week program, Monday–Friday with a Saturday performance
• Price: Half-Day Camp tuition $375.00; Full-Day Camp tuition $575.00

The NVYS Summer Chamber Camp for Strings is founded and directed by NVYS Head Coach Yasushi Ogura, with Executive Director Silvia Regalado-Zachlod. Coaching is provided by professional musicians. NVYS is an award winning youth orchestra and is committed to building a diverse welcoming organization and supporting youth in their musical journey. NVYS states that teaching children music is not just about notes; it is about building stronger communities. NVYS offers sibling discounts, and a limited amount of partial scholarships may be available for families that have additional financial need, subject to funds available in the scholarship fund at the time of submitting a completed scholarship application. Space is limited, and registration closes on July 15th, 2026. A participant shared, “The camp was really challenging, and therefore really helped me improve as a musician. It also made me more confident in my playing and improved my rhythms a lot.” Justin, Cello, has been with NVYS for 6 years. COMING SOON – The 1st Annual NVYS Summer BRASS AND Woodwinds Chamber Camp is planned for Summer 2026.
