CORE Summer Athletics Camp

CORE Summer Athletics Camp offers summer athletics sessions for children ages 3.5 to 12. The camp includes half-day sessions for ages 3.5 to 5.5 and full-day sessions for ages 5.5 to 12, with Monday through Friday scheduling. Summer camp can be booked by single day.

• Summer Athletics Camp — Ages 3.5 to 12; half-day ages 3.5 to 5.5, full-day ages 5.5 to 12 · Monday through Friday; half-day 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; full-day 9:00 am to 3:00 pm · $99–$666 per day · Summer camp at Newport Ridge Community Park. 1:5 coach to kid ratio. 13 weeks listed between June 1 and August 25.
• Sports Performance Camp — Ages 6 to 12 · Half-day 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; full-day 9:00 am to 3:00 pm · $99–$666 per day · 5-day camp with limited group size. Focuses on strength, speed, agility, endurance, coordination, explosiveness, confidence, focus, and resilience.
• Summer Basketball Camp — Grades Kinder to 5th · 5-day intensive · Held at St Mike's Church, Corona Del Mar. Led by Coach Adrian.
• Single-Day Camps — Ages 3.5 to 12 · Veterans Day and MLK Day · $99–$180 per day · Half-day and full-day schedules available at Newport Ridge Community Park.
• Thanksgiving Break Camp — Ages 3.5 to 12 · 3-day camp during Thanksgiving week · $99–$482 per day · Half-day and full-day options at Newport Ridge Community Park.
• Winter Break Camp — Ages 3.5 to 12 · Two 3-day sessions in winter break · $99–$482 per day · Half-day and full-day options at Newport Ridge Community Park.
• Ski Week Camp — Ages 3.5 to 12 · 5-day camp during Presidents Week · Half-day and full-day choices at Newport Ridge Community Park.

About the provider

CORE says it has been operating since 2013 and lists 13+ years in Orange County, 25+ years coaching kids, and 4,000+ kids coached or served. Its mission statement says CORE's mission is to help children grow through sports, movement, and mentorship. The leadership team includes Jon Bohrer, Indyah Alex, Adrian Watkins, Kailani Amuro, Sydnie Lobo, Nathan Tavra, Cam Traverso, and J.R. Cifone. CORE says its coaches are background-checked, CPR-certified, and trained in social-emotional learning, and that every coach completes a Live Scan background check, references, CPR + First Aid certification, and a multi-week training process before leading a session.

Summer camp runs ages 3.5 to 12. Half-day camps are for the youngest; full-day camps for ages 5.5 and up. Summer camp has a 24-hour grace period on registrations. School programs are open to enrolled students of the school only and registration is managed by each campus or the City of Newport Beach, or via school for some Laguna Beach schools.
