Creative Spanish

Creative Spanish offers after school Spanish classes where children take part in music, movement, games, storytelling, theater, and creative activities. The program includes arts and crafts such as creating vibrant crafts, playing traditional games, exploring cultural traditions, singing cultural songs, and activities involving food.

• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: Weekly classes with options Monday–Friday in the afternoon and Saturday in the morning during August–May, following the OUSD calendar
• Price: Tuition Rates: 1 day/week: $158 per month; 2 days/week: $315 per month; 3 days/week: $420 per month; 4 days/week: $525 per month; 5 days/week: $630 per month. Extended Care: Available at $15/hour.

Creative Spanish is described as an after school program designed for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, with students organized by age and activities tailored to meet their needs. All Spanish levels are welcome, and Spanish is woven naturally into each day through engaging, hands-on activities and weekly themes that immerse students in Spanish language and culture. Classes are also tailored for intermediate to advanced learners with a focus on conversational fluency, expanding vocabulary, and improving literacy, and the program also offers a summer camp with themes inspired by the Spanish-speaking world led by experienced, native-speaking teachers.

The program is led by passionate and experienced educators and experienced, native-speaking teachers, and is associated with Juliana Romero. One family shared that Juliana’s programs include international studies about countries and cultures, with lots of creativity through arts and crafts, food, music, and theater, and described Juliana and the teachers as warm and caring.
