About

Canoeing and Kayaking Programs offers public canoeing trips, public kayaking trips, and boating field trips using kayaks and canoes. The program includes paddle instruction, safety instruction, and fun paddles exploring Regional Parks’ waterways and lakes. Engaging Outdoor Recreation staff guide participants on group paddles, and some programs also feature a naturalist.

• Schedule: Regularly scheduled public canoeing or kayaking trips in a group setting

All programs include gear, and all watercraft need to have a wearable Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD) available for each passenger. Mandatory watercraft inspections are required for participation. The Outdoor Recreation Department provides affordable boating field trips for schools and community organizations.
