Oakland Zoo Education Programs and ZooCamp include behind-the-scenes Veterinary Hospital Tours at the zoo’s state-of-the-art Veterinary Hospital. These tours are offered on select Wednesdays and Saturdays and are designed to accommodate all current and future animals at Oakland Zoo. Families can also access live animal webcams, including Black Bear, Condor, Giraffe, Grizzly Bear, Mountain Lion Cub, and Sun Bear cams, as part of the zoo’s online offerings.

Oakland Zoo Education Programs and ZooCamp are part of Oakland Zoo’s mission to deepen connections with animals, save wildlife, and inspire champions for the natural world. The zoo also offers Animal Webcams to watch bears, giraffes, and other animals live, a California Trail Discovery Experience focused on native California Trail species, and a Friends of the Wild program that includes admissions benefits. Oakland Zoo is involved in Taking Action for Bison, which focuses on helping restore this mammal to its native homeland.
