Park’n It Day Camp and Leaders-in-Training Program offers hands-on experiences where participants learn about park ecology, play games, make art projects, go fishing, hike, swim, and take field trips to other parks. The program also includes team-building and training, assisting recreation leaders in arts and crafts, helping prep, serve, and clean up after meals, leading field games, helping supervise swimming, helping manage campers, and helping to set up and clean up camp. Camps take place under the care of a highly-trained staff of recreation leaders, lifeguards, and naturalists.

• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm in one-week sessions throughout June and July 2026
• Price: Park’n It Day Camp fee: $200 (non-resident $220). Leaders-in-Training course: $50 for one week, with a limited number of $30 scholarships available.

Park’n It Day Camp is part of the Healthy Parks Healthy People initiative of the East Bay Regional Park District, serving Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The program states that when kids engage in active outdoor recreation in parks, they grow into healthy and eco-literate adults who care about parks and the environment. Financial aid is available for Park’n It Day Camp. The Leaders-in-Training program provides 35 community service hours, and participants receive an evaluation and constructive skills for resume writing and job seeking at the end of the week, and the program positions participants for future camp employment. The Recreation Coordinator is Stewart Reid.
