Amplify Sleep Away Camp

About the provider

Amplify began in 2012 and launched its first full-season sleep away camp in 2014. Jen Baron is the founder and executive director, and Marley is the camp director. Amplify says it is a nationally recognized, award-winning organization, was honored by the California State Senate in 2022, and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It says it has served over 20,000 youth and raised more than $2 million in scholarships.

The camp describes itself as a safe, inclusive, girls sleepaway summer camp. It says kindness, consent, and compassion are expected among participants. Campers are housed by grade level. Friend requests are always guaranteed. Sessions enroll between 75-90 campers. Counselors must be at least 19 years old; staff members typically fall within ages 21 to 35. Multiple interviews and comprehensive background checks are conducted on potential staff.
