Orinda Ballet Academy

Orinda Ballet Academy offers classical ballet training from Pre-Ballet through Advanced/Pre-Professional levels for students ages 3 to 18. It also offers a Fall Term performance option for all ballet divisions, Pre-Ballet through Advanced, and students must register in the Performing Class Package to participate in performances. The Academy also includes Youth Company performances for ages 3 to 18, and all students are encouraged but not required to participate.

About the provider

Orinda Ballet Academy was established in 2009. Patricia Tomlinson is the Artistic Director. The Academy’s mission is to provide quality classical ballet training, Pre-Ballet through Advanced/Pre-Professional levels, to students ages 3 years-18 years. Its student performances include biannual performances, an annual winter production called "A Sweet Dream Nutcracker," and spring term story ballet productions such as "Coppelia," "The Sleeping Beauty," "Cinderella's Ball," "Swan Lake," "Alice in Wonderland," "Peter Pan" and "The Firebird."

Students must register in the Performing Class Package to participate in performances. Placement class required for new students ages 7yrs+ or returning students that have missed terms. Technique only non-performing classes offered. All students are encouraged but not required to participate in the Youth Company's performances.
