About
Double Scissors Soccer Training offers private soccer training, mentorship, an ASEP Soccer (After School Enrichment Program), and soccer camps. Program options include a Truckee Summer Camp from July 20–23 and a Boys Summer Camp from July 28–31. Camps and clinics under the Soccer Days name are available for girls and boys at beginner and intermediate skill levels and blend skill-building drills, small-sided games, and team challenges.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
Since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, players have been able to participate in Double Scissors Soccer Training and benefit from healthy relationships and guidance from the experienced coaching staff. The program’s mission is to provide detailed, thoughtful, high level and fun soccer training for any athletes looking to improve their game play and game knowledge. The personalized approach to coaching includes mentorship and connection with each player, with mentorship described as a holistic, relationship-driven process that supports the athlete as both a player and a person. The coaching philosophy and principles of play include scanning for space and awareness off the ball; looking to go forward and be a threat offensively no matter what position a player has; building soccer IQ, intelligence, and composure with the ball; and focusing on vision, anticipation, timing of runs and movement, and technical ability with both feet. Families can book a free call with Coach Stefan for mentorship.
Double Scissors Soccer Training is led by Coach Stefan Clemens, who runs the Campolindo Boys Soccer Program in Moraga, CA and is the head coach for the boys varsity squad. The program serves Bay Area communities through its ASEP Soccer offerings at Del Rey Elementary, Glorietta Elementary, Sleepy Hollow Elementary, Wagner Ranch Elementary, Camino Pablo Elementary, Los Perales Elementary, and Rheem Elementary, and runs camps in the city of Orinda, CA.
Parent testimonials describe Stefan as developing a player’s health, skills, and self-confidence and serving as a mentor, confidant, and example who instills values of sportsmanship and character, as shared by Trish Emerson, a Bentley High School parent. Another parent, Michelle Williamson from Lamorinda Soccer Club, describes Stefan as an excellent coach and instructor who keeps her daughters engaged through a wide range of core, technical, and shooting drills, and notes his personal charism and true interest in player development.
