Athletic Garage Dance Center offers dance classes and fitness classes. The program includes options for both beginners and more experienced dancers, as well as for people who want to stay fit and those who want to get fit. Athletic Garage Dance Center opened its doors in November 1999. The program features some of the most regarded instructors and choreographers in the Los Angeles area. Its stated goal is to train dancers, former dancers, and aspiring dancers in many forms of dance styles and techniques; to encourage freedom of expression; to enable performance skills; to foster a community of dancers where each will nurture and inspire the other; to strengthen the body; and to grow the dancer in mind, body, and spirit in a non-intimidating and non-judgmental environment. Since opening, it has been described as a rising star in the Pasadena community and as a studio for the community where families such as mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, and grandparents and grandkids can dance and get fit together.
