First Tee – Greater Pasadena

First Tee – Greater Pasadena offers golf, junior golf programs, and golf-based personal growth programs. The program uses golf activities together with a life skills curriculum from First Tee Life Skills Education™.

• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: 8-week session
• Price: $130 per participant per 8-week session for Introductory, Intermediate, and Advance level classes; the overall expense for each youth that participates in an 8-week session is approximately $150.00

Programs are directed towards youth ages 5 to 17, with a specific target for 5th through 8th graders. Golf equipment is provided free of charge if needed. Participation fees assist in offsetting coaching fees and provide the opportunity to hire additional coaches, and the activity fee enters participants into the First Tee Life Skills Education™ program and partially pays for Life Skills materials.

The leadership team includes Mark Fritz, Director of Programs and Development; Dan Hufford, Program Coordinator; Derrick Williams, Outreach Questions contact; Leslie DeLuco, Project Coordinator; and Bob Baderian, Executive Director. The mission of First Tee is to be a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges, by integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum to create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience. The First Tee – Greater Pasadena Board of Directors, in cooperation with community supporters including parents of participants, is committed to raise additional funds needed to maintain the quality of the program.
