About
iTennis Pasadena Junior Programs offers tennis classes that include group clinics, private instruction, private lessons, and semi-private lessons. The program also includes USTA Junior Team Tennis and Junior Team Tennis, and participants can use public court rental when iTennis instruction is not occurring.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
USTA Junior Team Tennis in this program is designed for kids ages 8–18, and players are placed on teams upon registration. Junior Team Tennis teams are preferably co-ed but can also be single gender, with boys-only or girls-only teams. The Rose Bowl Tennis Center accommodates the majority of the Pasadena iTennis programs, and three of the five courts there are typically used for instruction. All Pasadena park tennis courts may be used without reservation whenever iTennis instruction is not occurring, and the Rose Bowl Tennis Center and Grant Park courts are open to the public at no cost on a first come, first served basis when not in use by iTennis for group clinics or private coaching. Coaches of iTennis are given priority via permit with the City of Pasadena to run clinics and private lessons on certain courts during select hours of the day. Private lessons may be purchased individually on a half-hour, hour, or 1.5 hour basis, and these private lessons are from USPTA/USPTR certified professionals. Families can join any time during a session and pay a prorated fee for group classes, and missed classes may be made up by attending another class during the registered session if the class is not full, with 24-hour notice required and all make-ups completed before the end of the session. iTennis is the City of Pasadena’s official tennis provider and offers tennis programs, lessons, and activities for players of all ages and abilities, and its sister nonprofit, Let’s Teach, expands opportunities for kids to learn tennis and pickleball through free and low-cost programs. iTennis has 20 years of experience in tennis programming, and iTennis is a federally registered trademark owned by iTennis. Families can also find a compatible tennis partner at any iTennis Center using the Find a Player feature.
