Little Finch Forest School offers outdoor exploration, nature play, and exploration through immersive hands-on learning experiences. Children and caregivers take part in sensory play and other activities held entirely outside.

Little Finch Forest School offers four programs in the Foothills of North Los Angeles, including a Parent & Me class, a toddler class, and a preschool class. Families can choose between a 1, 2, 3, or 4-day schedule. The Parent & Me class meets Mondays and Fridays from 9 am to 12 pm and focuses on outdoor exploration, sensory play, and community connection in natural settings. Toddler sessions run Monday through Friday during the spring semester (September–January) and the fall semester (February–June) from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, and preschool scheduling options are available Monday through Friday during the same months and hours.

Little Finch Forest School states that it provides exceptional outdoor education and aims to strengthen children’s bond with nature through immersive hands-on learning experiences in a nurturing outdoor setting. It is described as a roving program that explores Deukmejian Wilderness Park, the La Crescenta foothills, and various trails along the Arroyo Seco, with classes held along the Gabrielino Trail among shady oaks, Alders, seasonal creeks, and forest paths.
