About the provider

The program was founded in 1975 and has served children, teens, and adults for more than 45 years. Program Director Melanie Solis leads the program, and Larry and Sheila Gluck are the founders. The Gluck Method® is used in the classes, and instructors are highly trained and certified in The Gluck Method of Fine Art Instruction.

Students attend weekly drawing and painting classes. Children learn by a step-by-step program and work one-on-one with instructors. Classes are held most afternoons and on Saturdays.

What families say

“When I am doing art, I forget about my problems. All my friends have sports for a passion but mine is art. When I am doing art, I feel calm and I am so happy that I have this class to help me do something and get better at it, like my friends do with their sports. I love art and always will.” — Sydney - Age 10

“I learned a lot of things in sketching, and I feel successful about all of it. Special thanks to my parents who sacrifice a lot to make this possible, and thanks to my art instructors for teaching me.” — Peter - Age 10

“I really love art class. I love the way I feel when I finish a painting. Art class has taught me to never give up… no matter what happens. I hope to be a great artist when I grow up.” — E.D. - Age: 9
