Since 1937, the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena has been building great futures by empowering local children and youth to reach their full potential. BGCP provides youth and teens with the environment, relationships, and opportunities that equip them to build essential skills to learn, lead, and succeed. The programs include out-of-school activities focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character and leadership, and life and workforce readiness. Youth ages 5–18 are encouraged to join, and the organization offers affordable after-school programs in Pasadena. Each year, four local sites serve more than 1,500 Pasadena-area kids and teens, and each location offers a mix of opportunities tailored to its community. The organization follows guiding principles of Excellence, Belonging, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, and Collective Impact, and it has a Future Ready plan to reimagine spaces, deepen programming, and create a new teen center shaped by youth voices. The Odyssey Charter School North Site serves OCS North and OCS South students, the Dena Teen Center serves high school students only, and the Kings Villages location serves residents of Kings Villages only.
