CYO Sports Basketball

CYO Sports Basketball offers basketball activities for parish youth. The program also includes volleyball, as well as coaching for both volleyball and basketball. Training for coaches is provided through diocesan and parish workshops and meetings.

This is a parish-sponsored program for the youth of the parish. The program exists for the development of positive Christian values in the youth of the parish through athletic programs. It encourages principles of fair play and good sportsmanship in every game. Volleyball and basketball are open to girls who were enrolled in CCD, St. Joseph School, and/or Youth Ministry in the prior year and who continue to participate in those programs. Basketball is open to boys who were enrolled in St. Joseph School, CCD, and/or Youth Ministry in the prior year and who continue to participate in those programs. All coaches must be certified and cleared through the procedures of the Safe Environment for Children Program. Training for coaches is given at diocesan and parish workshops and meetings.
