About
The Pinole Teen & College Summer Musical Program is a six week intensive program where students learn music, choreography, and dialog while working together to put on a fully realized Broadway musical. The program also includes a Technical Theater option where students can learn Stage Management, Lighting & Sound Design, Light & Sound Operation, Costumes, Properties, Set Design, and Stage Crew. Program dates run from Wednesday, June 17, 2026 to Thursday, July 30, 2026, with performances scheduled from Friday, July 31, 2026 through Sunday, August 2, 2026 at specific times.

Pinole Community Players has been bringing high quality live theatre to the West Contra Costa community since 1986 and is described as a treasured, important part of the community. The Pinole Young Actor program begins its 56th year in 2024, and the Teen/College Musical Company will be turning 16. The organization states that its community is at the heart of all it does and operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with donations described as 100% tax deductible. The Teen/College Summer Musical Program is modeled after summer stock programs around the country and is described as offering affordable programs that don’t drain parents’ wallets.
