Pinole Players Youth and Teen Programs

Pinole Players Youth and Teen Programs include workshops, auditions, and live performance experiences such as a variety show, musical revue, and modern musicals and plays. The program features specific productions including “The Wedding Singer” and the “Pinole Players Splash of Summer Variety Show.”

• Ages: 14–18 years old
• Schedule: Performances of “The Wedding Singer” on Friday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, August 1 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m., with the lobby opening one hour before curtain and doors opening for seating 30 minutes before curtain; “Pinole Players Splash of Summer Variety Show” performances from August 7–9

Since their first curtain call in 1986, the Pinole Players have been active, and their Youth and Teen programs have been empowering the next generation of performers for decades. The Teen & College Company is described as a welcoming community for performers in high school and college who have completed 8th grade, with all experience levels welcome. The program focuses on the collaborative “Company” aspect of theater, where high school and college students work side-by-side on modern musicals and plays in an environment described as low pressure, fun, and encouraging, with an emphasis on the joy of performing. Workshops are offered for ages 5 to 22, and the organization is a non-profit. Pinole Players is described as a cornerstone of the East Bay community and a community-driven theater that serves as a home for storytellers, a training ground for young talent, and a gathering place for neighbors to experience live performance, with donations helping to keep local theater accessible.
