Sly Park Fundamental Basketball School provides instruction for boys and girls to learn the fundamentals of basketball. The program includes activities to develop individual basketball skills, develop team basketball skills, and play 5-on-5 basketball.
• Ages: 10–18 years old
• Schedule: Girls Week runs Wednesday, June 10 to Saturday, June 13 (4 days/3 nights); Boys Week 1 runs Tuesday, June 16 to Saturday, June 20 (5 days/4 nights); Boys Week 2 runs Tuesday, June 23 to Saturday, June 27 (5 days/4 nights)
• Price: Girls Week Early Bird Tuition (Dec 1 to May 1): $560.00; Girls Week Regular Tuition (May 2 to Jun 10): $610.00; Boys Week 1 and Boys Week 2 Early Bird Tuition (Dec 1 to May 1): $696.00; Boys Week 1 Regular Tuition (May 2 to Jun 16): $750.00. Tuition includes dorm housing (7 beds in each dorm room) and all meals.
Sly Park Fundamental Basketball School opened in 1982 to provide instruction for 5th through 12th grade boys and girls to learn the fundamentals of basketball and develop individual and team skills necessary to contribute to successful school and AAU seasons. The program is in its 44th year of operation and has over 16,000 graduates. Each session is limited to 120 players per week on a first-come, first-served basis, and each player receives a handwritten player evaluation from their 5-on-5 coach at the end of the week. Coach Steve Williams leads the program.
Dorm housing includes rooms with 7 beds in each dorm room. All food service is provided cafeteria style in an air-conditioned cafeteria and dining hall, and the facility has completely upgraded showers, sinks, and toilets. Special diet needs such as vegetarian or gluten free can be met upon contacting Coach Williams. Food, drinks, and snacks are not permitted in the dorm buildings or cabins, and all players need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and toiletry articles.
