About
Alpine Hills Junior Tennis Programs include junior tennis lessons, clinics, and competitions, along with a Junior Comp Team and USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT). The program also offers Red Ball Play Days, a beginner junior tennis tournament, and seasonal options such as a Thanksgiving Boot Camp, Holiday Boot Camp, Spring Break Camp, and Summer Tennis Camps. Year-round clinics combine instruction, practice, competition, and fun for juniors at different levels, from beginners to established tournament players.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Seasonal camps and boot camps offered throughout the year, including Thanksgiving Boot Camp (Nov 21–23), Holiday Boot Camp (Dec 19–22), Spring Break Camp (Mar 28–Apr 1), and Summer Tennis Camps with six sessions from June 17–21, June 24–28, July 8–12, July 15–19, July 22–26, and July 29–Aug 2
Alpine Hills Junior Tennis Programs are open to both members and non-members of the club and group juniors by level and age into PRE-K (4–5 years), BRONZE (5–7 years), BRONZE+ (8–9 years), SILVER (10–12 years), GOLD (13+ years), and ELITE (UTR 5+ rating). Junior Comp Team players are typically between 8 and 13 years old, and the Comp Team is offered in the fall, winter, and spring. Alpine Hills typically registers JTT teams in the 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions, with opportunities for 15U and 18U teams. Red Ball Play Days are best suited for players 9 and under at the BRONZE/BRONZE+ level, use red balls on a short court, and include modified scoring for shorter matches.
The tennis program uses the USTA youth progression system with red, orange, and green balls and smaller courts for younger kids, and offers both recreational and competitive clinics for older kids at all levels. Instructors include former ranked professional players who provide world-class instruction, and the program is led in part by Assistant Racquets Director Ogidi Obi. Alpine Hills has a thriving, family-friendly tennis community built around instructional, competitive, and recreational opportunities for all levels, ages, and abilities. Alpine Hills is a non-profit proprietary club with 750 members and has recently earned Exceptional Status with Distinguished Clubs. The club also participates in community programs such as Junior Team Tennis through the United States Tennis Association, where local clubs enter teams to play against other clubs in the Bay Area, and is a proud member of Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics (PASA), a youth swim program for junior swimmers.
