Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory offers shows, after-school classes, summer camps, community programs, MainStage productions, devised works, hands-on internships, and a high school-led Youth Council. Recent and upcoming productions include As You Like It the Musical, Betrayal at the Block Party, a Murder Mystery Fundraiser, the Alumni and Friends 24-Hour Musical, Mary Poppins Jr., Redwood Riddles, and Chicago: Teen Edition.

Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory is a nonprofit theater that shares space with Valley Presbyterian Church. PVTC was founded by Artistic Director Cheryl Goodman-Morris, and the PVTC Board Chair is Tom Kelley. Cheryl Goodman-Morris served as pastor of Worship and Arts at Valley Presbyterian Church. PVTC staged its first intergenerational production, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, in 1993 and was incorporated as a 501c3 in 1997, and describes itself as having 30+ years of existence. The organization offers an intergenerational MainStage musical, an Alumni and Friends 24-Hour Musical, and a high school-led Youth Council, and it describes its programs as being for every individual ages 3 to 103. Its mission statement is: “Our mission is to create community and inspire individuals to discover their unique passion through pursuit of excellence in theatre arts.” PVTC states a focus on empathy and inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility, and describes itself as a home for all artists and audiences. PVTC notes community involvement through collaborating with community partners to widen and deepen understanding, outreach in schools, and a desire to create a quality theatre arts program that would open Valley Presbyterian Church’s doors wide to the community.
