Palos Verdes Peninsula Girls Softball League offers recreational softball and fastpitch softball, along with activities such as parades and pizza parties. The league also involves families in operating The Backstop Grill, also known as the Snack Shack, during league events.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Girls Softball League is a non-profit recreational softball league that serves girls ages 4 and up residing on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and in surrounding communities. For over half a century, PVPGSL has helped young women of various age and ability levels learn skills and sportsmanship through the sport of softball. The league provides the opportunity for advanced play, and in the last 4 years there has been 1 State Title, 1 appearance in Nationals, 4 District Titles, and over half a dozen State appearances at all levels.
The league’s mission is to provide a safe, first class recreational softball program to all girls interested in fastpitch softball. Sarah is the contact for Backstop Grill shift help or cancellations, and children under the age of 14 cannot be inside The Backstop during a volunteer shift. The league also offers a PVPGSL merchandise line that includes new winter hats, tri-blend items, a travel cooler, and a cropped hoodie, and a percentage of each merchandise item purchased goes back to help the girls in the league.
