Dance 1

Dance 1 offers syllabus based preschool classes for children 12 months to age 5, with Baby Movement as a start for new dancers. It also offers syllabus based youth classes with uniforms required, and adult classes in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and fitness. Adult Ensemble is a performing group for adult dancers.

Programs

• Preschool & Toddler — 12 months to age 5 · Syllabus based preschool program; Baby Movement is a start to introduce your dancer to Dance 1.
• Youth — age 6 and up; ages 6-17 · Syllabus based youth classes. Uniforms required.
• Adults — no age limit · No experience needed. Ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and fitness classes offered.
• Adult Ensemble — adults · Performing group for adult dancers.

About the provider

Dance 1 first opened in 2013. Francesca Stern is the Owner & Artistic Director, and the leadership team also includes Dr. Randolph Stern, Donna Perkins, Sondi Foley, Erin Fleming, Corey Hastings, Jordan Montpas, Corinna Ductor, and Kaylyn Fulton. The studio has earned 4 Studio of Excellence Awards and multiple 1st place overall awards across all genres.

Open year-round with exceptions for New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Uniforms required for youth classes. New adults must register as students prior to taking first class. No registration fee for adults. Adult Ensemble has no competition pressure and is supportive, non-competitive.
