Dodgers Training Academy — Redondo Beach Camps, Clinics & Lessons is co-founded by EL1 Sports, a national sports training company created by athletes, coaches, and educators, and was co-founded in 2010. Lessons are led by instructors who have played at the highest levels, including leadership team members Scott Davison, Tony Liebsack, Ari Zagaris, Scott Gracey, Chuck Schumacher, and Alex Pinedo, who cover areas such as baseball hitting, throwing, infield (middles and corners), pitching, outfield, mental performance coaching, and strength/conditioning. The program states that it is driven by the belief that a positive experience with sports can make a lasting impact on a child’s life. It is the proud youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball and operates under a multi-year partnership agreement with MLB that includes a revenue-sharing component making MLB a partial owner of EL1. EL1 Sports works closely with Major League teams on Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) initiatives, including designing and running programming, identifying and training coaches and mentors, bringing events into local communities, and giving equipment and facility time to those who have traditionally not had adequate access. Testimonials from parents and partners describe positive communication with parents, positive influence on a child’s character and confidence, and increased registrations after adopting Quickball for younger age groups.
