Dodgers Training Academy — Redondo Beach Camps, Clinics & Lessons is co-founded by Aaron Trolia, a former Seattle Mariners prospect, and Jameel Cante, a former collegiate football player who serves as Chief Innovation & Impact Officer. Lessons are led by instructors who have played at the highest levels. The organization was co-founded in 2010, and EL1 operates 25 facilities as of Fall 2023. EL1 is the proud youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball and has a partnership agreement with MLB, formed in 2022, to grow accessibility and engagement in youth baseball and softball. EL1 works closely with Major League teams on Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) initiatives, including designing and running programming, identifying and training coaches and mentors, bringing events into local communities, and providing equipment and facility time to those who have traditionally not had adequate access.
The broader EL1 system includes a fast-growing network of training facilities equipped with next generation technology and offers a robust system of 30- and 60-minute lessons for individuals and small groups, with lessons that can integrate as much or as little technology as desired. EL1 runs more than 100 annual baseball and fastpitch softball tournaments nationally and offers a high-speed, low-pressure Quickball entry point into baseball and softball. EL1 also provides a full suite of behind-the-scenes administrative services for youth sports, a unique operating system for teams from elite travel ball through Little League, and career paths in instruction and management for professional baseball and top collegiate softball alumni and players.
One parent testimonial states, “THE INSTRUCTORS ARE GREAT AND EASY TO WORK WITH. THEIR COMMUNICATION WITH THE PARENTS IS WONDERFUL. IT HAS BEEN AN ALL AROUND FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE OVER THE PAST YEARS!” Another parent shares, “YOUR COLLECTIVE INFLUENCE ON [MY DAUGHTER] HAS BEEN SO POSITIVE…I AM INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL FOR THE ADULT SHE IS BECOMING AND FOR YOUR PART IN HELPING TO SHAPE HER CHARACTER AND CONFIDENCE.” A youth baseball commissioner notes, “PARENTS LOVE THE FASTER PACE OF PLAY AND ADVANCEMENT THEY ARE SEEING IN THEIR CHILDREN…REGISTRATIONS HAVE GROWN BY ALMOST 50% IN THE 3 YEARS SINCE WE ADOPTED QUICKBALL FOR OUR 4 AND 5 YEAR OLD AGE GROUP.”
