About
South Bay Kids Cooking Camps and Weekly Cooking Classes offers weekly cooking classes, Thanksgiving Baking Camp, and monthly homeschool cooking classes. Students take part in hands-on cooking and baking and make recipes from scratch. The program includes kitchen safety, preparation, teamwork, and proper kitchen etiquette.
Programs
- Weekly Cooking Classes — For Kids 6-12 · Fridays at 3:30pm @ Alta Vista Park; Mondays at 3:30 @ Perry Park
- Thanksgiving Baking Camp — For Kids 8-12 and Jr. Chef for Teens 13-15 · Monday through Thursday or Monday through Wednesday for Thanksgiving Camp; Morning Session: 9am-Noon; Afternoon Session: 1pm-4pm · All ingredients, supplies, and recipes are included. Allergy-friendly: We don’t use nuts and do our best to accommodate other allergies.
- Monthly Homeschool Cooking Classes — Homeschool learners; kids from Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, and surrounding South Bay communities · Wednesdays 2pm - 3:30pm; Thursdays 10am -11:30am at Breakwater Church, Redondo Beach

About the provider
The program has taught homeschool learners since 2017. Armena “Chef Arm” Jehanian graduated from the Los Angeles’ New School of Cooking. Her Lemon Cloud Cupcake received rave reviews from Iron Chef Michael Symon on ABC’s The Chew, and she has mentored and coached a Chopped Jr. Champion.
Spots fill quickly. Menus are subject to change. A link to recipes will be provided to all participants. No nuts are used and other allergies are accommodated as best as possible.
