Inspirit Jiu Jitsu youth programs

Inspirit Jiu Jitsu youth programs introduce children to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu through structured classes on the mat. The academy also offers related programs such as Kids Competition, Women BJJ Conditioning, Adults Fundamentals, Adults Advanced, and Adults Striking. Families can start with a free trial class, and for an initial class, children can wear comfortable athletic clothing without zippers or buttons, with guidance available later on getting a traditional gi for training.

• Ages: 3–14 years old

Inspirit Jiu Jitsu youth programs include several tracks: Tiny Black Belts for ages 3–4 years, Future Black Belts I for ages 3–7 years, Future Black Belts II for ages 8–14 years, and a Homeschool program. The programs are part of a broader academy that offers programs for all ages and levels, with a focus on discipline, respect, and community, and a family-first culture on and off the mats. The academy’s mission states that the lessons learned on the mat extend beyond training, and that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches discipline, respect, and resilience in every roll, challenge, and victory. The environment is described as world-class training in a supportive, community-driven setting where the mat becomes a mirror, revealing resilience, courage, and growth.

The youth programs are led within an academy founded by Rodrigo Freitas, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and seasoned competitor who began training in 1997 and earned his black belt under Master Aldo “Caveirinha” Januário in 2007. Rodrigo Freitas is the Head Coach, a 4th Degree Black Belt, and founded Inspirit Jiu Jitsu in 2015.
