Whitney Jr. Wildcats Football & Cheer offers tackle football registration, cheer registration, a Free Skills and Drills Clinic, a 2026 WJW Free Cheer Clinic, and 2026 Cheer Tryouts/Evaluations. The program includes an introduction to cheer taught by experienced WJW coaches and WHS Cheerleaders, where motions and jumps are taught. All cheer athletes must register for 2026 WJW Cheer Tryouts to complete 2026 Cheer Registration, and all cheer athletes must register for Cheer Tryouts to participate in the 2026 Sideline Cheer Season.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Football registration runs from Wednesday, July 15, 2026, through Saturday, November 14, 2026; the 2026 WJW Free Cheer Clinic takes place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 1:00–4:00pm with a parent showcase at 3:30pm; 2026 Cheer Tryouts/Evaluations are held Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 11:00am–4:00pm.
• Price: Football registration ranges from $375.00 early registration to $525.00 late registration; the 2026 WJW Free Cheer Clinic costs $0.00; 2026 Cheer Tryouts/Evaluations cost $50.00.
For 2026 Tackle Football Registration, families must provide a football equipment deposit check of $500 that will not be cashed unless equipment is not returned, and a volunteer deposit check of $500 that will not be cashed unless volunteer hours are not completed. Football registration also requires a 2026 Medical Clearance Form dated after April 15, 2026, a copy of the player’s birth certificate, a copy of the end of year report card, and a player photo that is a headshot only, and each athlete must be registered only to the team associated with their age as of August 31, 2026. A payment plan is available for football by selecting Partial Pay at registration.
For 2026 Cheer Registration, families must provide a volunteer deposit check of $500 payable to WJW that will not be cashed unless volunteer hours are not completed, a Medical Clearance Form, a copy of the birth certificate, a copy of the end of year report card, and a player photo that is a headshot only. The 2026 WJW Free Cheer Clinic and the 2026 Cheer Tryouts/Evaluations are open to ages 5–14, are open to everyone, and do not require proof of birth date or address. Families who register by April 20th are guaranteed a tryout T-shirt for the 2026 Cheer Tryouts/Evaluations, and cheer registration payments can be made in full or in increments, with the remaining balance due by July 1, 2026.
The program is currently accepting applications for Cheer Coach (18+ assistant coaches), Assistant Football Coach (18+), Jr. Cheer Coach (high school), and Jr. Football Coach (high school).
