St. Matthew Music Camps & Vacation Bible School offers music camps, summer camps, and a Morning Summer VBS Camp that include activities such as chorus rehearsals, band rehearsals, small ensembles, daily semi-private or group lessons, and learning basics of music theory and notation. Little Lights - Little Music Explorers is tailored for the youngest music enthusiasts and includes extra activities and flexible transitions with more frequent but shorter rehearsals. Beginners Band Camp is intended for learning a wind instrument for the first time, while Intermediate & Advanced Concert Band Camp is for wind instrument and percussion players and includes several performance opportunities with their groups on the last day. Some all-day camp options include the Morning VBS Camp, lunch*, and chorus camp or Beginners Band or Concert Band, and lunch is only available to campers also enrolled in an afternoon program, with an optional paid lunch at 12:15pm for afternoon-only camps.
The High School & College Mentors program serves high school and college-age musicians who play or sing alongside younger students, support teachers, and build leadership skills through music, with prerequisites of a minimum of 2 years’ experience on their instrument, an application, a meeting with the director, and 1–2 trainings before camp; fingerprinting is required for mentors aged 18 or older. Morning Summer VBS Camp by St. Matthew Lutheran Church serves campers as early as 3 years old through 6th grade and includes a T-shirt and snack, with volunteer opportunities for upper-graders. Rainforest Falls - Vacation Bible School Camp is described as “an immersive experience designed to help kids grow in faith through Bible story, worship, and hands-on exploration,” with a theme focused on discovering the nature of God and being rooted in a relationship with God.
