Barbizon Modeling and Acting Program

Barbizon Modeling and Acting Program includes activities such as audition practice, on stage showmanship, monologues, on camera classes, commercial acting, and acting techniques. The program also covers photo movement, runway techniques, fashion vs. commercial breakdown, product modeling, beauty pageants, and TV commercial work. Participants take part in voice and diction, speech and voice projection, public speaking, memorization skills, cold reads, improvisation, and self confidence development, along with personal brand building, the art of self promotion, dressing for success, interview skills, etiquette, skincare basics, makeup application, hair care and styling, poise and posture, and nutrition and fitness.

Since its inception in 1939, Barbizon Modeling and Acting has operated in 200+ markets worldwide. The program offers acting for teens and acting for kids programs, with a suite of services that includes Model Development, Actor Development, and Personal Development tracks. Barbizon actors can be seen on Nickelodeon, Netflix, CBS, NBC, ABC, Disney, HBO, major motion pictures, national commercials, and local theaters. The program teaches current industry standards and techniques and is supported by a network of thousands of industry professionals around the world, along with renowned curriculum and job placement services. Notable alumni include Giuliana Rancic, Julie Henderson, Logan Browning, Moises Arias, Ryan Phillippe, and Sean Faris. The mission of Barbizon Modeling and Acting Program states that the Barbizon experience is about discovering what makes each student special and developing their one-of-a-kind “star” quality, with expert modeling and acting training and life-skills instruction aimed at giving students confidence and tools to shine for a lifetime.
