Centennial Christian Preschool states that it is dedicated to nurturing the growth of the whole child—socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and spiritually—within a warm and welcoming Christian environment. The program is described as thoughtfully designed to equip children with key readiness skills for kindergarten success, emphasizes Christian values throughout its curriculum, and states that it strives to reflect the love of God in all it does. The mission also states that the preschool celebrates each child as a unique, independent learner.
The leadership team includes Ms. Brie (Brieanne Otto), Director and Teacher; Ms. Annie, Preschool Teacher; Ms. Bridget, Preschool Teacher; and Ms. Elayna, Preschool Teacher. Brieanne Otto earned her Bachelor’s degree in Child Development. Ms. Annie is currently attending Western Governors University to obtain a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. Ms. Elayna is currently earning her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and plans to continue on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Child Life Studies.
Centennial Christian Preschool is a parent-participation school and a non-profit ministry of Centennial United Methodist Church. Morning preschool classes require parent participation every other week. All families are required to volunteer twelve additional hours per year, per child to help maintain the school, and there are two mandatory meetings that at least one parent is required to attend. The preschool holds several fundraisers per year to maintain reasonable tuition rates and updated equipment. The program notes that teachers use creative and engaging teaching methods to spark curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and foster a lifelong love of learning.
