About
Eastern Ways Kidsafe® Self Defense is part of the Eastern Ways Martial Arts program, which includes traditional Chinese martial arts such as Kung Fu and Tai Chi. Children in the Kidsafe® self-defense training take part in Kidsafe® self-defense training for children of all ages, and may also see or participate in related activities at the school such as lion dance and dragon dance.

Eastern Ways Martial Arts has taught self-defense and martial arts to hundreds of Sacramento Valley residents since opening in 1995. The program is led by a team that includes Chief Instructors Tai Sifu Hubbard and Tai Simo Molina, Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong as President of the Plum Blossom International Federation, and Head Instructors Sifu James Lendech and Sifu Matt Stroh. The instructing staff has over 100 years of combined teaching experience, and each instructor is certified in the Eastern Ways teaching process. Eastern Ways states that it is dedicated to teaching traditional martial arts in a way that is accessible to everyone and is a member of the Plum Blossom International Federation.
Eastern Ways offers a premium martial arts training program with traditional Kung Fu and Tai Chi for students of all ages and ability levels, along with Kidsafe® self-defense training for children of all ages. Each student receives weekly private lessons and can attend multiple group lessons throughout the week, with over 50 lessons offered per week and access to multiple locations at no additional cost. The studio includes private training areas with heavy bags and focus equipment and follows an organized, well-rounded curriculum with children’s programs for ages 4 and up and values-based instruction.
Eastern Ways has taught the Girl Scouts of America, Heart of Central California Council, in many yearly Kidsafe® seminars, including Girl Power and TAP (Teen Assault Prevention). Parents and adult students in testimonials describe the kids program as outstanding, the instructors as supportive role models of professionalism with passion, and the teachers as having accomplished knowledge of the art and science of martial arts.
