Kops N Kids is a community-based week-long summer day camp that includes sports clinics and activities focused on gang resistance, violence prevention, gun avoidance, and drug deterrence. Campers take part in specific activities such as Basketball, Bikes, Dance & Cheer, Football, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Cadets, and a Family Festival Day during camp that brings youth, families, and community together.

Kops N Kids has been operating under the theme “Empowering Youth Together Since 1986.” The summer camp is led by trained law enforcement, fire, and education professionals. The Kops N Kids organization has partnered with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, local fire departments, educators, and community volunteers, including the Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento County Probation Department, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Sacramento City Fire Department, Sacramento Metro Fire Department, Rancho Cordova Police Department, Elk Grove Police Department, and Roseville Police Department. The mission of Kops N Kids is to give children the opportunity to interact with positive role models, experience sports clinics, and participate in gang resistance, violence prevention, gun avoidance, and drug deterrence activities.
