About the provider

Oak Park Preschool, Inc. was established in 1966 by the Eta Gamma Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. as a voluntary summer project. Its mission is to maintain a preschool with a well-trained staff where children can develop physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially at their own pace in a secure setting. The program notes that parents play the most important role in a child’s development and that it works with other parents in the community to promote total family education, involvement, and reinforcement.

Primarily state-funded preschool in Sacramento. Qualified staff and small class sizes allow each child to develop according to his or her own pace, interest, and learning style. Parent participation is required. Waiting lists are maintained when classes are full.
