About

Peak Adventures Youth Summer Camps offers outdoor trips, summer camps, and team building at the Challenge Center. The program also connects campers with water-based activities such as sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, wake boarding, paddling, personal water craft (“Jet Ski”), and rowing. Peak Adventures provides access to gear rentals and bike shop services for these activities, and campers do not need to bring their own equipment to use the Aquatic Center’s offerings.

• Ages: 7–17 years old

The program is described as an outdoor youth summer camp that focuses on getting campers off of their devices and spending time outside in fresh air. Youth camps include Junior Explorer Camp for ages 8–11, Explorer Camp for ages 12–15, and Overnight Camps for ages 12–16. The Aquatic Center, which is open to the general public, has been involved with youth programs for over 35 years and is recognized as the benchmark for boating safety as a National Boating Instruction Safety Center. Summer Youth Academies students learn from Sacramento State professors, community college faculty, area public and private school teachers, and industry professionals. Sacramento State provides immersive learning experiences that benefit students, the region, and beyond.
