ViBO Music School

ViBO Music School offers private and semi-private music lessons in piano, drums, hand percussion, trumpet, guitar, ukulele, bass, trombone, violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, and voice, as well as music theory lessons. The program also runs beginner workshops for guitar, piano, violin, and ukulele, an Early Childhood Music Class, ViBO Rock Bands, ViBO Chamber Orchestra, Music Camp Allegro, and multiple student recitals and special event performances throughout the year.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Weekly private and semi-private lessons in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute formats, 8-week beginner workshops and Early Childhood Music Class, 60–90 minute ViBO Rock Bands and ViBO Chamber Orchestra sessions, with additional events such as open-mics, jam sessions, and annual youth Battle of the Bands
• Price: Private lessons $55–$77 per lesson depending on length; semi-private lessons $40–$55 per student per lesson depending on length; most 8-week workshops and Early Childhood Music Class $240; ViBO Rock Bands and ViBO Chamber Orchestra $35 per hour; instrument rentals for some workshops $25–$30 per month with refundable deposit; annual registration fee $45 (prorated later in the year)

ViBO Music School was founded in 2003. Its mission statement is that “ViBO Music makes learning music exciting! ViBO believes that music creates community and communities create music.” The school regularly hosts open-mics and jam sessions, and students perform at local events, festivals, senior centers, talent shows, and street fairs, including an annual youth Battle of the Bands held since 2017 and many student recitals throughout the year. One parent, Joan G., reports that her son has attended for almost eight years, has studied classical music along with other styles, and now chooses to pick up instruments like violin and saxophone on his own.
