About
Kamparama is a summer camp that offers old-fashioned fun, play, exploration, and friendship. The program includes an inflatable water slide on Fridays, lunch four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday), a daily afternoon snack, and visits from the Ice Cream Man every water day. Each camper receives a Kamparama T-shirt.
• Ages: 4.5–11 years old
• Schedule: Care available from 7:30 AM–6:00 PM with 3, 4, and 5 day options; sessions run June 8–11 at one site (closed June 12) and June 15–August 14 at another site (closed June 19 and July 3)
Kamparama has been serving San Carlos and Belmont families since 1982. The program is housed in a fully licensed care program (Lic #410509433, Lic #410504156, Lic #414001029, Lic #410517836). Kamparama is set up in a way that provides kids with structure, but not too much structure, giving them room to explore a wide variety of creative, STEM, and movement activities, along with a reading sofa and an indoor fort in air-conditioned rooms for indoor relaxation. Healthy lunch is provided four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday), and there are no extra fees for afternoon care, with arrival allowed any time between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM. The program offers a 20% sibling discount.
Kamparama is housed in a fully licensed care program with professional full-time staff, and all camp staff are described as professionals with a passion for caring for young children. Most staff have been with the program for a minimum of 5 years, and many have been with the program for 15 years or more. Every day at Kamparama, there is at least one Camp Director on site. Each Kamparama location has its own Camp Manager, who supervises staff and children and handles day-to-day operations, and all Camp Managers have advanced training.
