The Children's Place Preschool

The Children's Place Preschool offers hands-on activities in art, science, music, drama, and movement. Children also have time for indoor play, including rainy-day activities that use dedicated indoor space and equipment.

• Schedule: Year-round, Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.

The Children's Place Preschool is a play-based, non-profit early-education program that is non-sectarian. It offers full-day programs for children from 2 years through Pre-Kindergarten, with flexible scheduling options for 2, 3, or 5 days a week. Parents may choose the hours of attendance that work best for their child within the operating hours, and part-time children may attend an additional day for an added fee if space is available. The program has small class sizes with two teachers in each class and is staffed by qualified and experienced teaching staff.

The Children's Place Preschool has operated since 1981 and has provided childcare services to the greater San Carlos community during that time. It is operated as a non-profit under the advisement of a Board of Directors, which meets the fourth Wednesday of each month via Zoom. The Children's Place Preschool has indoor play equipment and access to Mahany Hall, a large multipurpose room used for indoor play and rainy-day activities. Visitors are welcome, and visits can be scheduled by calling or emailing [email protected]. The program is now accepting registrations for the 2025–2026 year and currently has full-time and part-time openings.
