Del Mar Pines School Summer Day Camp offers summer day camp sessions connected to the academic program at Del Mar Pines School, which includes academic classes with a low student to teacher ratio of approximately 12:1. Whole class learning at the school takes place in science, social studies, and ancillary classes, and there is one class per grade with a maximum of 20 students in kindergarten and 23 students in first grade through sixth grade. There are two teachers in every grade to facilitate small instructional groupings in language arts and math instruction.

The school has been recognized among the top 2.5% of schools in the country by Niche, which gave Del Mar Pines School an A+ grade in the 2025 Best Schools Rankings. One parent reported that their daughter became more self-disciplined and more confident after transferring to Del Mar Pines School for sixth grade and that they felt she was nurtured to her full potential.
